Pixies Announce North American Tour Dates Including Shaky Knees Festival and Boston Calling

A pre-sale for tickets begins Wednesday, Feb. 25, and the general public sale starts Friday, Feb. 27. For more information, visit the band's website, and check out the full schedule below.

Prior to Indie Cindy, the band released its fourth studio album, Trompe le Monde, in 1991. During the lengthy LP recording hiatus, the Pixies put out three EPs in 2013 and 2014. Critics gave Indie Cindy, the first album not to feature bassist Kim Deal, mixed reviews.

"Indie Cindy has hit-or-miss songs already released via digital dribbles and drabs. It's the ballads, rather than the overly shtick-laden rockers, that truly evoke the Pixies - especially 'Greens and Blues' and 'Andro Queen,' where Frank Black travels through space to find crush-worthy alien girls," Rolling Stone notes.

Deal has been quiet about her departure since it happened in June 2013. She's turned her focus to creating music solo and with her other band, The Breeders.

"We are sad to say that Kim Deal has decided to leave the Pixies. We are very proud to have worked with her on and off over the last 25 years. Despite her decision to move on, we will always consider her a member of the Pixies, and her place will always be here for her," the band wrote in a statement.
