President Obama likes Kanye West's music despite having criticized him in the past

In a recent interview with People (via Consequence of Sound), President Obama was asked if he'd rather "hang out" with the Duck Dynasty cast or Kimye, following the recent Duck Dynasty drama. Obama apparently chose Duck Dynasty but told People, "Kanye's music is outstanding though. I've got a lot of his stuff on my iPad. If it was a concert, then I might not mind listening to him."

Obama has had a rocky relationship with West and Kardashian ever since referring to West as a "jacka**" in 2009, following the Taylor Swift incident and Michelle Obama criticized Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kanye addressed the Obama incident in an interview with Philadelphia's Hot 107.9 last month. Kanye admitted the "jacka**" comment was "how the world felt" at the time but still believed that the President shouldn't have responded that way. "I don't care if somebody the President or not. I care about thoughts, and how you helpin' people, and what you bring to the world. My music brings joy to people. What I create brings joy to people, and I'm about people. Me, I'm not about me. I'm about, 'I got an idea that people gonna like.'"
