Laura Story And Ed Cash 'God of Every Story': Behind-The-Scenes Look At Their Upcoming Album [Video]

Laura Story is set to release her third full-length album, 'God of Every Story' this Fall and, on July 16, Family Christian released a video of her and producer, Ed Cash, talking in the studio about what goes on behind the scenes as they are recording new music.

The video was taken on the team's third day of recording vocals for the new album. "She has been knocking it out, I mean, just incredible," Cash said of the work that they had accomplished so far. "[And] you've been keeping me fully caffeinated, I appreciate that," Story added humorously.

Story and Cash share common Carolina roots and make a great team as they combine their skills to create a successful pop worship album. Story explained a little about what goes on in the studio while the team is recording. "I feel like, as a storyteller, you just have this amazing ability of drawing people's stories out of them," she said, directing her conversation toward Cash. "You're more than just a technically amazing producer, which you're that. But, just your ability to help an artist tell their story [is] truly remarkable."

The lyrics for Story's upcoming album, 'God of Every Story,' are drawn from her own very personal experiences. A bit event that impacts her music was when her husband suffered from a brain tumor early in their marriage, which led the family to a very difficult place in their lives. However, this experience ultimately deepened Story's faith and hope in God. It allowed her to see God's love and grace in her day-to day life and she was able to incorporate that message into her music.

In the behind-the-music video, Story explained her ultimate goal for what she hopes to accomplish through all of her music. "I say this pretty much about any song that I ever write, it's wanting to showcase how God's truths in the scriptures interact with our daily lives, just kind of where we live on a daily basis," she said. "And, hopefully, when they hear this record, they hear the promises of God and how does it become, not just real to me, but the things that I cling to for life and hope."

The new album proves a powerful reminder that wherever our lives take us, God is the true author of our stories and He has complete control.

Story is most well-known for her hit song, 'Blessings' and for co-writing the song, 'Indescribable,' alongside popular Christian artist, Chris Tomlin. Story made her debut with the release of her 2008 album, 'Great God Who Saves,' and then released her second studio album, 'Blessings' in 2011.
