Pharrell Williams is having a big year, as we've noted before. Aside from his production work, his Oscar nomination, and singing the hooks for two of the year's most downloaded songs ("Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke and "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk), MySpace is now running a huge digital exhibit on the producer/performer's career.
"The Complete Pharrell Collection: 1991-2013" is split up into seven volumes that chronologically highlight different proportions of Williams' career. They are:
Volume 1: The early years before Williams rose to prominence, from 1991-'94.
Volume 2: Mainly studio sessions from 1995-'97.
Volume 3: By this point, 1998-'99, Williams work with Chad Hugo as The Neptunes starts gaining serious prominence.
Volume 4: Williams and The Neptunes are about as serious it gets, including hits such as Jay Z's "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)" and Ludacris's "Southern Hospitality."
Volume 5: His work with The Neptunes continues during 2003-'05 as he continues to work with Jay Z, as well as Beyonce and Justin Timberlake (his friendship with Timberlake might explain how MySpace, which is now partially owned by the pop star).
Volume 6: This volume includes one of our favorite works from Williams: his production on Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury.
Volume 7: Soundtracks start to become prominent, including his original song for the animated film Despicable Me.
Volume 8: The present day. If you've turned on a radio, you've heard it.
"Pharrell has developed a career that balances diversity with cohesion," explains the website. "From his early work with Surrounded By Idiots where he teamed up with Timbaland and Magoo in high school, to his more recent string of hits alongside Robin Thicke, T.I. and Daft Punk."
