Jack White's Third Man Records co-release Paramount Records box set with Revenant Records

For the most of 2013, Jack White has been working on an archival project centered around Paramount Records, a now defunct blues label from the 1920s that worked with artists including Louis Armstrong, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and Ethel Waters.

According to Consequence of Sound, Third Man Records has been working in conjunction with Revenant Records and recently reissued Paramount's catalogue as a box set that features 800 songs, original ads from the era, two books and six 180-gram vinyl LPs all housed in a hand-crafted oak case based on a model of those boxes that carried phonographs during the 1920s.

To talk about the project, White and Revenant Records' founder Dean Blackwood appeared on Charlie Rose. Check it out here and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
