Amy Grant is having a busy week of television appearances, having appeared on PBS's 'Tavis Talks' on Wednesday, July 17, and is now set to appear on ABC's 'The Chew' on Friday, July 19.
Grant has been making her rounds in the television industry in order to promote her newest album, 'How Mercy Looks From Here,' which was released in May. She has recently appeared on ABC's 'The View' as well as 'Fox and Friends' back in June. After appearing on, 'Tavis Talks' on Wednesday, Grant is set to appear on 'The Chew' on Friday where she will join The Chew Crew and practiced cook/ author, Allison Fisherman Task. The show will feature some great no bake dessert options to keep cool during the summer.
Grant has long been a crossover sensation, combining elements of the Christian music scene with aspects of the mainstream music world and finding a great deal of success in doing so. She has been making music for more than 30 years and was the very first Christian music artist to see a record go platinum. She has sold over 30 millions albums, has received six Grammy Awards, 25 GMA Dove awards, was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has even been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
'How Mercy Looks From Here,' marks Grant's first album release in ten years. It illustrates some of the triumphs and challenges that Grant has faced throughout her career. The new album features appearances by her husband, Vince Gill, Will Hoge, Carole King, Eric Paslay, James Talyor and Sheryl Crow. It debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard charts and has received wide-spread success. Grant dedicated her new album to her Mother, who gave her the advice, "Sing something that matters," before she passed away two years ago, in April.
Grant is also inviting her fans to join her for a weekend in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee this fall, from October 18- 20, through Inspiration Cruises and Tours. It is set to be a weekend packed with music food and other fun activities in the Christian music capitol of the U.S. The event activities cost $499, not including lodging and food accomodations.
