Muse, Jason Derulo, Carrie Underwood & More Reach Platinum Status in February from the RIAA

Jason Derulo, Ella Henderson, Muse and Carrie Underwood have all gone platinum! Today (March 10), the RIAA announced the singles and albums that went gold or platinum in February, and some of music's biggest stars have joined the million-plus club.

Derulo and Muse lead the platinum singles club this month, each chalking up two songs that sold over one million copies. Derulo's Talk Dirty singles "Trumpets" and "Marry Me" via Warner Bros. Records joined the ranks, giving the singer three platinum singles off that album ("Wiggle" has sold over 2 million copies), according to a press release.

Meanwhile, Muse are bringing it back from its Supermassive Black Hole era, as "Supermassive Black Hold" and "Starlight" each cross the one million download benchmark in the U.S.

Other recent singles to cross the million sales mark come from Ella Henderson ("Ghost"), Jhene Aiko ("The Worst") and Carrie Underwood ("Something in the Water").

Meanwhile, 17 singles were registered gold (500,000+ sales). Two additional Muse songs ("Time is Running Out" and "Knights of Cydonia") registered as gold. One Direction ("Night Changes"), Taylor Swift ("Style") and Flo Rida ("GDFR") also crossed that barrier.

Only one album was newly donned as platinum in February: Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits/Ultimate Collection, and it happened four and a half years after its initial release.

However, five albums went gold. After the success of "Take Me to Church," Hozier's self-titled debut album joined the ranks, and new releases from Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett (Cheek to Cheek) and Nicki Minaj (The PInkprint) also went gold. Meanwhile, older releases from Beck (The Information) and Lana Del Rey (Ultraviolence) also made gold status.
