Veteran Producer Fired at 'The View' After Screaming Match With Rosie O'Donnell

Jennifer Shepard-Brookman has apparently learned her place in television the hard way. Working as a senior producer does not give anyone the right to berate the on-air talent, and after a vicious screaming match with Rosie O'Donnell Brookman is out of a job at The View. Apparently, things got heated between the two ladies during a staff meeting at ABC, and rather than holding her tongue and knowing her place, Brookman lost it and really laid into O'Donnell, who takes nothing from no one.

According to a report by Page Six, "One show insider said, 'During a production meeting, Jennifer began mumbling behind Rosie, who told her, "If you have something to say, say it to my face!" So Jennifer did -- she laced into Rosie, and there was a shouting match. Jennifer was loud, and profoundly and publicly disrespectful to Rosie. You have to be mindful of your role and the pecking order. Producers cannot be publicly disrespectful to the talent, no matter how much you disagree. You have to know your place. It was so shocking, Rosie and other members of the staff told the HR department about Jennifer's behavior -- she was suspended and then she was fired,'" explained the insider.

Supposedly, Brookman's suspension coincided with when O'Donnell had announced that she would be leaving The View after surviving only six months back in the mix. ABC's top brass then decided to let the veteran producer go as well.

This is just one more example of the kind of turmoil that exists behind the scenes of the show that was once a runaway hit for the network. There have been a multitude of rumors about the future of The View after this season finally wraps up production.
