Big K.R.I.T celebrates his upcoming performance in Austin, Texas for South By Southwest by dropping "B4SXSW." The chopped and screwed effects give "B4SXSX" a down south kicked-back vibe.
According to xxlmag, the rapper announced that he's headlining The Only Show That Matters at SXSW on March 21.
In January, K.R.I.T talked to the mag about his experience working with Def Jam on his sophomore album, Cadillactica.
"I think they understand now more than ever that creatively it's always gonna be slightly different than what may be going on," he said. "But I've built the foundation as far as my supporters, my fan base, so the music speaks for itself. And when it came to Cadillactica, I think they just kinda let me do me, work with the people that I wanted to work with and stood behind that. And then being able to have the type of team that I have, we're all self-sufficient. We move and make it easier to put things together, because the way we move still kinda feels independent."
The Mississippi rapper also told the magazine he waited a while before releasing Cadillactica because he wanted to make sure it was done right.
" ...It's always been quality over quantity. To me, it was about taking as much time as possible to make sure it's all the way right how I want it to sound. I wanted to be able to come off the road and finish the album and work with producers and things of that nature. And that calls for a lot of time to sit down and create."
2dopeboyz shared K.R.I.T.'s flyer that lists his fellow performers Smoke DZA, Casey Veggies, Chevy Woods, Two-9, Alex Wiley, Big Sant, Delorean, Dice Soho, Namebrand and Martin $ky.
