Meghan Trainor has a few words for her "Dear Future Husband": you have got to be able to cook a hearty meal, be a big, strong man and know when to (and not to) rock the boat. Or, at least, that's the message that the "All About That Bass" singer is sending in her new music video. Today (March 16), Trainor unveiled the latest single off her debut album Title, and it's a throwback, doo-wop anthem for 2015.
The video brings back elements from Trainor's first Title music videos, "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Movin'." There are candy colored backdrops, vintage dresses and pouty red lips from the rising pop superstar.
The kitschy music video finds Trainor backing herself with a slew of suitors, who may or may not be worthy of becoming her "Dear Future Husband." While she cleans the floors and attempts to bake an apple pie (spoiler alert: she only scrubs in one spot and burns the desert), the men file in and out, proving to not be a suitable match.
There's the handsome young fella who tries to cook Trainor some sort of gourmet scallop, the man who can barely lift the strength mallet at the fair and the dashing sailor who tips the boat.
Unacceptable!
In the end, who wins her heart? A young man with a polo shirt, slicked back haircut and... a pizza. That is marriage material!
