MediaTakeOut reports that Ciara and her rapper boyfriend Future were "attacked" by gang members at a BET after-party on Sunday (June 30). Apparently, the "Body Party" songstress' beau recently ditched-out on a club performance he'd already been paid for... and the promoter was NOT happy about being cheated. The Greystone Manor bash in West Hollywood was allegedly shutdown following the gang threats and one security guard was badly injured.
Few details surrounding the alleged "attack" are currently available... according to a "credible" MTO source, the couple was partying when the gang members entered Greystone Manor, ready for some blood. Thankfully, Future's bodyguards stepped-in right in time. Ciara and her boyfriend weren't injured, but a member of Future's security team was badly hurt during the scuffle. He was placed in stable but guarded condition at a local Los Angeles hospital.
So, what do gang members have anything to do with Ciara and Future? Apparently the "Pluto" rapper was paid to play a gig awhile back, but he never showed. Instead of going through the legal system, the cheated club promoter apparently had connections on the streets. And that's how he tried to get his cash back...
When police arrived to the scene, things were so chaotic the entire area was basically shutdown.
This isn't the couple first run-in with club promotion trouble... as Mstars reported earlier this month:
TMZ reports that songstress Ciara is currently being sued by the popular West Hollywood gay bar "The Factory" for bailing on a $10,000 appearance deal. Apparently Ciara backed-out of the event (scheduled for Friday, June 7) just one day before the main L.A. pride week celebration... the 2013 L.A Pride parade. According to reps for the 27-year-old "Goodies" beauty, the lawsuit is "totally bogus" - Ciara never officialed a deal.
TMZ recently obtained "The Factory" lawsuit which states that Ciara signed a $10,000 deal to appear at The Factory on June 7... just one day before she's set to perform on the main stage at the L.A. Pride parade. Allegedly, Ciara did mention that she wouldn't be able to "perform" at the popular gay bar because of restrictions in her contract with the L.A. Pride event ... however, she made it seem like an "appearance" would work just fine.
Ciara then unexpectedly pulled out of the party appearance on June 3... leaving The Factory with no big-name star to help kick-off their pre-Pride parade bash.
Now the club is suing her for breach of contract - they want the "Body Party" songstress to pay for all the money the club spent to promote her appearance. They also want her to fork over the estimated cash the bar'll be losing Friday night because off her last-minute no show.
But according to Ciara's rep, the entire thing is bogus. A person close to the sitch tells TMZ:
"Ciara's commitment to perform at LA Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, the Factory continued to market and promote Ciara's appearance... The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why the Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the LA Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light."
