Surprise! Now Earl Sweatshirt is releasing a new album. After Drake and Kendrick Lamar released surprise albums in recent weeks with little to no warning, now the Odd Future affiliate is next. Yesterday (March 16), Sweatshirt's label Sony Music Global announced the rapper's second official studio album I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside.
Though just a few days' notice qualifies I Don't Like Sh*t... as a "surprise" release for Sweatshirt, it's not quite enough of a surprise for the rapper. Shortly after Sony announced the release of his album, the outspoken rapper took to Twitter to lash out about the record even being announced at all.
"label got me F*CKED up!!!!!!!! I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK @SonyMusicGlobal 4 F*CKING UP THE ROLL OUT PROCESS OF MY SH*T. SOMEONE GOTS 2 PAY 4 THEIR MISTAKES ! #SWEAT," Sweatshirt wrote in a series of tweets. "ITS TRASH TO HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S ERRORS, I AM F*CKING HOT."
Sweatshirt's new album will be released on March 23. I Don't Like Sh*t... will feature 10 tracks, including the lead single "Grief," which also dropped last night.
