Electronic producer Diplo took to Twitter to announce that Major Lazer, his dance-hall project with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, will release a new EP next month. He also revealed that the effort will feature Pharrell, Sean Paul, RDX, Machel Montano and Elephant Man.
As NME points out, the group released its debut album, Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do, in 2009 back when Switch was part of the group (he quit in 2011). Their sophomore effort, Free the Universe, came out in April 2013 and featured collaborations with Santigold, Dirty Projectors, Shaggy and Danielle Haim.
In other recent Major Lazer news, the producer teamed up with Snoop Lion for the track "Get Away," and they have now released a gaming-inspired music video for the song, which takes place in a pixel art world. Pixilated versions of Snoop and Major Lazer take part in a Pokémon-style battle then join forces, MegaMan-style, to defeat an evil stereo system.
