TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek has announced the release of a new solo EP under his Dave.i.d. moniker, NME reports. Dubbed the Exhibition EP, the self-produced effort will be released later this month via his Federal Prism label, which is also home to Kelis, Scarlett Johansson and TV On The Radio.
The EP, which was recorded in his basement, marks Sitek's first release of new material since 2011 when he dropped his debut album Response. It will be available as a digital download as well as on 12-inch vinyl. Additionally, the track "Zulu Bash" will be released as a limited dub plate on 12-inch vinyl.
The Exhibition EP tracklist includes the songs "Soul Reprise," "A World I Didn't Know" and the aforementioned "Zulu Bash." Sitek is expected to announce a series of live dates in support of the release.
TV On The Radio is also working on new material. Frontman Tunde Adebimpe told SPIN in August that the band was "sort of collecting material for a record, but right now we're only thinking in terms of songs, smaller things we can put out regularly until an album seems possible. Which I love. It's not that you're less precious about the process, but I like coming in and saying, 'Let's make a couple songs', not feeling any sort of pressure to lock ourselves in a room."
