Now that Martin Garrix has become one of the most highly sought-after DJs in the world, he has been able to collaborate with just about any artist he pleases. He just wrapped up his track with Usher, "Don't Look Down," in seemingly record time and is already moving on to the next one with a tune in the works with Swedish superstar producer, DJ Avicii. Could a collaboration be in the works if they are in a studio?
Garrix posted a picture of him and Avicii in a studio working on Bergling's PC -- he is one of the few producers to still use one -- apparently making a new track. Avicii also appears to be sporting a new arm sleeve tattoo.
This collaboration would be a very interesting mix for both artists. Both have a history of working with other high profile DJs, but have never made a track with each other. Martin Garrix recently collaborated with Afrojack on "Turn Up the Speakers" and has something in the works with David Guetta, who says the track is "Big!" Avicii has worked on several tracks for Guetta in the past, like "Sunshine" and "Lovers on the Sun," and "I Could Be the One" with Nicky Romero.
Both have been making moves outside electronic music, collaborating with artists outside the genre, notably Garrix's recent track alongside Usher, but also his song with Ed Sheeran -- "Rewind, Repeat It" -- and Avicii's "Divine Sorrow" with Wyclef Jean.
Avicii is currently working on his sophomore artist album, tentatively titled Stories, and it is rumored that Garrix is also working on one of his own. There are no further details on the track, including a possible title or release date, but we will keep you posted. They may try and premiere it on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival with the three-day event just a little more than a week away.
