Ringo Starr sings about wanting to be a Powerpuff Girl [WATCH]

The Powerpuff Girls are returning to television for a one-night special, which will feature none other than Ringo Starr. The former Beatle will voice a "flamboyant mathematician" named Fibonacci Sequins, according to Rolling Stone.

The episode, titled "Dance Pantsed," airs on Cartoon Network January 20th at 7:30 p.m. EST, but a clip of Starr performing the song "I Wish I Was A Powerpuff Girl" has already surfaced. In the video, Starr, or "Sequins," jams with the girls on the experimental pop tune. He sings, "Wish I was a Powerpuff Girl / living in a Powerpuff world / Wear a ribbon in my curls / wear a dress and save the world / Wish I was a Powerpuff Girl / I'd fly through the sky / shoot sparkling stars out of my eyes / Wish I was a Powerpuff Girl."

The Technicolor video filled with rainbows, stars and cute animals shows Starr dressed in a yellow PPG-style dress with a pink ribbon in his hair, but he has his signature sunglasses, beard and earrings to distinguish him as Starr.

The upcoming episode follows the kindergarden superheroes Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup as they save the world from their arch-nemisis Mojo Jojo, who has kidnapped Starr's character. Mojo Jojo invents a sinister video game, "Dance Pants R-EVILution," to help him steal Chemical X and take over the fictional Townsville, USA.
