Yelawolf is readying his second studio album, Love Story, which is due out next month. He's already dropped a handful of singles including "Till It's Gone" and "Whiskey in a Bottle." The Shady Records artist has now shared a new single titled "American You."
"Man you got it all worked out, don't you? Old pair of shoes / Never wear your heart on your sleeve cause it don't go with the suit," Yela raps on the new track. "You got a bad, bad woman with a young little pretty face/ They told you not to go get married but you went and did it anyway." Listen to the tune below.
The rapper was included on Eminem's Shady XV compilation, which dropped in November. The effort featured his debut single "Pop the Trunk" and a previously unreleased tune, "Down," among others.
"I was surprised to see 'Pop the Trunk' and 'Let's Roll' on there," the rapper said. "I didn't know they were doing that, which is cool. The original record I put on there, 'Down,' was a record that was really jamming but I wasn't going to put it on Love Story. So it just so happened the opportunity came up to place it on Shady XV. 'Down,' it's in the vein of where I'm at these days."
Yela's last album, Radioactive, came out in 2011. It featured guest spots by Lil Jon, Eminem and Killer Mike.
Love Story is due out April 21.
