Lea Michele recently teased her "Cannonball" music video on Instagram, but now the full VEVO music video is here to watch below. The song is the first single off of her first solo studio album, Louder, which we reviewed here on Music Times.
Columbia Records tweeted that the world premiere on television would be on Entertainment Tonight. Lea Michele herself tweeted:
OMG THIS IS SUCH A DREAM COME TRUE!!!! I hope you guys like it!!! #CannonballMusicVideo
She then started responding to a few of her individual fan's tweets about the music video. (She has over 4 million followers, so there is only so many she can write back to. She may even get #CannonballMusicVideo trending on twitter, with that many fans buzzing about the video.) One fan called "Cannonball" a "theme song" and Michele responded that it's her theme song, too.
Last night Michele thanked her fans for voting in the People's Choice Awards. She and Naya Rivera won favorite "TV gal pals," for their characters Santana and Rachel on Glee. On the 6th she tweeted that she was headed to the studio for the 100th episode of Glee.
The video features inspirational lyrics of overcoming difficulties: "I've got this new beginning and I'll fly like a cannonball," and "I'm free now I let go of fear and the peace came quickly." Michele certainly knows how to take on a lot and do it well. Her book "Brunette Ambition" will be coming out this May.
