Mariah Carey and James Corden Sing Her Biggest Hits in Carpool Karaoke [WATCH]

The new host of The Late Late Show, James Corden, decided to try out a new segment called carpool karaoke on Mariah Carey. The host was driving to work with Carey, in order to beat L.A. traffic, when he started to play some of her biggest hits to attempt to get her to sing along to them.

"I'm not singing today - I was up all night!" Carey protested when the "Late Late" host put on "Always Be My Baby." But the new British late-night host was not so easily deterred. Corden energetically danced in his seat while he drove and sang along to Carey's song without her.

Corden is clearly trying to give Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show a run for his money with interactive games and segments with celebrities, which Fallon is also known for. Corden started off his late night career with by paying tribute to Tom Hank's versatile and illustrious career-with Tom Hanks himself.

Carey tried to divert Corden's attention from her songs. She switched to a posh British accent, while Corden attempted a tough New Yorker accent. But it turns out that Corden is far better at a deep Southern accent. She then tried to flirt with the host, but the late show host protested that he was a married man. Carey recently finalized her divorce from Wild 'N' Out host Nick Cannon.

The pair eventually got back on track when Carey's "Vision of Love" came on. The pop star finally gave the viewers what they wanted and started singing. There was even a rousing rendition of Carey's "Fantasy." But unfortunately, "All I Want For Christmas" was not on the karaoke list.

A month ago, the pop star was caught lip-syncing badly at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. Although the diva didn't really show off her vocals, she at least didn't have the chance to lip-sync on the segment.
