Robert Downey, Jr. sang 'Driven To Tears' with Sting at the Police bassist and singer's birthday celebration, and he sounds incredible [WATCH]

Video of Ironman Robert Downey, Jr. singing at Sting's 60th birthday party back in October 2011 recently surfaced online. It's not the first time an actor or celebrity has joined a legendary musician on stage, but what makes this video amazing is that Downey, Jr. is actually an incredible singer, and he seriously sounds just like Sting. Who knew?

Other impressive guests included Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, will.i.am and Herbie Hancock. But probably because it was just so unexpected, Downey, Jr. made the biggest splash, at least at this point now that the video has been released.

The performance was in front of a sold-out crowd at Manhattan's Beacon Theatre with a rendition of "Driven to Tears," from the Police's 1980 album Zenyatta Mondatta. At the time of the party, Downey, Jr. was taking a break from getting ready for the second installment of his Sherlock Holmes reboot, A Game of Shadows.

Downey, Jr. sang alongside Police's legendary bassist, lead singer, and birthday boy, and he more than held his own. If his career as an actor doesn't seem to work out, which isn't likely at this point as he is a fine example of what it means to have a comeback, he could at least have a shot as a rock star.

Downey Jr. has been working on multiple projects recently, and he will star in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is currently in pre-production and set for a 2015 release. He will play Ironman alongside Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth.
