Electronic music fans have a dizzying number of options for their festival of choice this Memorial Day weekend. East-coasters will be able to attend any one of the numerous festivals up and down the coast including Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Mysteryland USA and Sunset Music Festival. Now Insomniac will bookend their Memorial Day Festival options on the West coast with Audio On The Bay. The festival has announced its 2015 lineup that is headlined by Martin Garrix, Laidback Luke and Knife Party.
The three-day festival will host a small, but well-curated group of acts that includes the aforementioned headlined, as well as main room masters, Showtek, a trio of main stage newcomers 3LAU, Mako and Eva Shaw. They will be joined by more subdued house DJs who will set the mood in Anna Lunoe, Nick G and The Magician, while there will be a strong bass contingent represented with a variety of different trap artists on the bill like Ape Drums, Grandtheft, Keys N Krates, Milo & Otis and Yellow Claw. DC-area rapper Goldlink provides a little something different and makes sense since he has found a strong following among electronic music fans and has collaborated with many big producers like Kaytranada.
Many festivals overwhelm you with names and leave you with the impossible task of having to pick one of the your favorite bands over the other because they are playing at the same time. Audio On The Bay goes with quality over quantity.
The festival will take place Memorial Day Weekend May 22-24 at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, California right outside of San Francisco. You can purchase a three-day or single day pass now for $141 or $55 respectively.
