German DJ, producer Robin Schulz has unveiled the music video to his next single, "Headlights," featuring the female vocals of Californian singer, songwriter Ilsey, which will be released through Big Beat Records. The video is situated in an abandoned water park with an odd cast of characters who breathe life into this despotic and dead wasteland around them. There are some teens that sneak off into a dry water pipe for some alone time, while particularly orange old ladies ogle some young man and an older group of swimmers do aerobics in one of the dry pools. One man turns on the shower only to get a face full of dust, though he seems totally content with rubbing that all over him.
Everything one might expect to see at a water park is there except for the crucial ingredient -- water. Watch the video below.
Just as dance music becomes more mainstream, even deep house, there are inevitably lots of commercial interests who want the opportunity to reach millennial. This has arrived on electronic music videos and "Highlights" is no exception with a totally out of place Toyota showing up at the end to drive off with Robin Schulz and, presumably, Ilsey.
"Headlights" is available to stream now on Spotify and will become available for purchase on all portals on April 10. The single was first premiered last week at the Echo Awards, the German equivalent of the Grammys, on March 26.
Robin Schulz has enjoyed a remarkable amount of success over the past two years ever since his Grammy-nominated remix of Mr. Probz "Waves" become an international hit. His latest remix of Lilly Wood & The Prick "Prayer In C" has already garner 200 million views on YouTube.
