Deep Dish making comeback at Ultra Music Festival? Website countdown suggests 'yes.'

One of the best parts of the festival-lineup-announcement is finding out what bands and rarities of old are coming back for that first show in however many years. Obviously Outkast has stolen that show this year, announcing a 40-festival tour, but The Replacements and The Strokes have made headlines as well. The newest act that seems to be making moves at a comeback is more familiar to EDM fans: Washington D.C.'s Deep Dish.

The house duo, which played its last show during 2006 (prior to the genre they influenced became huge), now has a countdown timer on its website, ticking away 71 days (from January 17, expressed in seconds). Many have been quick to point out that 71 days will end up on March 28, which happens to be the first day of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. And of course, Ultra specializes in all sorts of electronic music.

The duo, which consists of DJ's Dubfire and Sharam, split to pursue solo interests within the electronic music industry. Neither has given any sort of official statement on what the countdown represents, but we're willing to jump onboard with the popular theory making the rounds.

Ultra already has a pretty stacked lineup, full of performers influenced by Deep Dish and otherwise. Among the DJ's involved are Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Avicii and Hardwell (we could go on forever), and other acts include M.I.A., MGMT and Dizzee Rascal.

Deep Dish is perhaps best known for winning the 2002 Grammy for "Best Remixed Recording" for its interpretation of Dido's "Thank You."
