One Direction: departure of Zayn Malik
On Monday (April 6), Parker tweeted out a short little audition for One Direction, signing the band's latest FOUR single "Night Changes" (and reminding us all of the major crushes we had on him back in the day).

Even though the singer, who notes that he's currently playing Fiyero in a touring production of Wicked noted in a hashtag that his 1D cover was a #fakeaudition, that didn't stop One Direction fans from taking him a little too seriously... and he had some clearing up to do, saying that he knows that nobody could ever replace Malik because he's a Directioner himself!
As a #Directioner myself, I don't think anyone could replace Zayn... just having some fun guys! #BewareTheWrathofABoyBandFan @onedirection — Ashley Parker Angel (@ParkerAngel) April 9, 2015
It's no wonder that Angel isn't totally down to join One Direction. Last year, his own boy band O-Town reunited for a new album and tour, but Angel was notably absent.
And, even if Angel isn't down to reenter the music world, One Direction is not short of people who want to join the band. Shortly after Malik announced he was quitting 1D, rapper Riff Raff volunteered to join the group, which would be just as glorious as it sounds.
