Damon Albarn has officially announced his first proper solo album will be titled Everyday Robots and is due out April 28. The album was briefly listed on the web store for Warner Music, allowing pre-orders of the 12-track effort. Bloggers at Damon Albarn Unofficial were able to jot down the details of the album and the cover art before label executives took the posting down, The Guardian reports.
Since the information became available, Albarn's official Twitter and Facebook accounts have confirmed that the album will feature guests Brian Eno and Bat For Lashes' Natasha Khan with Richard Russell (XL Recordings) as producer.
According to the Facebook post, the upcoming release is "his most soul-searching and autobiographical yet" and examines the theme of "nature versus technology." Preceding the album's April release, the title track is set to drop March 3 digitally and on 7-inch vinyl, according to the web store.
The album itself will be available as an HD digital album and as a deluxe CD/DVD package featuring live performance footage from Fox studios in Los Angeles and a "track by track video."
