Drake closed down Coachella yesterday, April 12, and he certainly went out with a bang. The rapper brought out Madonna, who performed a few songs before pouncing on Drizzy and giving him a kiss. As Billboard points out, this wasn't a peck on the cheek either.
Madge performed "Human Nature," "Hung Up" and "Express Yourself" before locking lips with Drake. The pop icon gave him a seven-second smooch before simply saying, "Madonna," and exiting the stage. Drake, like the rest of the crowd, could only wonder "what the f*ck" just happened." Check out the video below.
The pair haven't been shy about their affection for one another. Drizzy kicked off the love affair by including a song titled "Madonna" on his surprise release If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
"I saw potential in you from the go, you know that I did / I don't know if you know, but I know who you are / You could be as big as Madonna," Drizzy raps on the song.
Madonna not only gave the song her stamp of approval, but she also sort of hit on the rapper via Instagram.
"I love your new song about me! It's my favorite! I'm still waiting for you to pick me up........ Ask D for my address! I knew you were a #rebelheart," she wrote.
Both artists are riding high following their latest releases. Madonna's Rebel Heart came out last month, and while it doesn't feature Drake, there are guest spots by Nicki Minaj and Chance the Rapper. The album hit number two on the Billboard 200.
Drizzy's mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, took the public by surprise in February. It conquered the charts behind singles like "Used to" featuring Lil Wayne and "Preach" featuring PartyNextDoor.
Fans are now waiting for the rapper's upcoming album, Views From the 6.
