Drake's 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' Mixtape Will Reach Stores April 21

Drake's mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, is now coming to physical stores, beginning April 21. The Canadian rapper made the announcement Monday, April 13.

According to Billboard, Drake announced today that a collector's edition of the project will arrive at physical retailers next week. The mixtape has sold more than 774,000 copies, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Drake is the first rapper to reach No.1 on Billboard's Artist 100 chart, Billboard reports. If You're Reading This It's Too Late also briefly held the record for the most single-day Spotify streams before Kendrick Lamar beat that record a month later. Jungle, Drake's short film connected to the mixtape, has reportedly been viewed more than 32 million times since its February release.

Drake has made a lot of headlines recently. Today, he announced his six-date Jungle Tour and yesterday he locked lips with Madonna during a performance at Coachella.

In a past interview with GQ, the rapper shared how his dad's favorite music influenced the way he makes music today.

"That was Al Green, that was the Spinners, that was Sade. That was Marvin Gaye," Drake told GQ. "At the time, I was like, 'Aw, man, come on, 20 minutes?' [referring to a comment that his dad used to only let the rapper listen to his music for 20 minutes.] But it really was pivotal for me because I started listening to the melodies and the emotion in this music that he was playing me. It grabbed me maybe even a little more than that Doggystyle cassette did. I would say that I'm more moved by melody, even though I love to rap."

Many fans remember Drake on Degrassi: The Next Generation. The rapper admitted that acting was his initial focus.

"That's all I wanted to do, at first. I loved music," he told GQ. "I just didn't necessarily believe in music being the focus right away. But I used to watch, at the time, young kids that were poppin' — it was B2K and Bow Wow. It was that generation of the R&B group, and the sort of every song is a "girl" song — it was all targeted towards screaming girls — the Scream Tour. You remember?"
