Lil Wayne is gearing up for the release of his Free Weezy album, and he just offered a snippet of what he has been working on. A remix of Future's "F**k Up Some Commas" has made its way onto the Internet.
Unlike other tracks recently released, Wayne did not take the opportunity to address the Young Thug or Birdman beef. Instead, he threw subliminal shade, rapping, "They don't call me junior no more / They call me the No. 1 stunna."
Back in 2000, Lil Wayne was featured on a track entitled "#1 Stunna," released by Big Tymers, a duo formed by Birdman and Mannie Fresh.
Elsewhere in the short verse, Wayne impressed with bars like, "My homie just robbed the Uber / I get a discount on cruisers" and "My bitch bad I say mama mia / Pants sag like the young Aaliyah."
"F**k Up Some Commas" was originally featured on Future's Monster mixtape, released last October.
Lil Wayne's Free Weezy album is slated to drop this month. He made the announcement last month while headlining the Red Bull Guest House. The LP will be the second project the Young Money CEO releases this year, following Sorry 4 the Wait 2.
There is still no word on when to expect the release of Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated Tha Carter V.
Last year, Wayne told MTV that Tha Carter V would be his last solo album.
"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes, and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five," Wayne said.
