Skrillex, Tom Morello, Jahlil Beats Are 'Working on Something Epic'

Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Skrillex and Jahlil Beats are in the studio "working on something epic." This news comes from the "Hot N***a" producer, who posted a picture of the three artists in a nondescript picture. Morello posted the same picture with the caption "uh oh," while Skrillex did the same thing with a caption of "3 Kings."

The new collaboration would be the second venture into the EDM world in recent months after it was revealed that Morello was working with American dubstep icon Bassnectar. The celebrated guitarist has dabbled in different genres over his career, most notably as a folk musician under his moniker The Nightwatchman. Morello has also worked with Cypress Hill on their 2010 single "Rise Up." Jahlil Beats is a hip-hop producer known for working with Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Bobby Shmurda, Gucci Mane and others. This is a big step for Jahlil Beats, who is clearly looking to branch out from his hip-hop space. Skrillex is known for his heavy, in-your-face beats and has worked with the likes of The Doors, A$AP Rocky and Korn, making a collaboration like this easy for him. Though the collaboration may seem odd for some fans, the three musicians make sense together. Skrillex came from the metal world in his first band, From First to Last, and still has that same attitude in his heavy music that has drawn many metal heads to dubstep. Rage Against the Machine incorporates metal and hip-hop, a genre that Jahlil Beats excels at producing. There are no further details on the song, but we will keep you posted. Update: Jahlil Beats uploaded a short clip to his Instagram. Check it out below.
