Montreal's Île Soniq 2015 Lineup: deadmau5, Kaskade, Steve Angello Headline

Montreal's Île Soniq has announced its 2015 lineup for the festival taking place Aug. 14 to 15. The electronic music festival will feature some of the genre's biggest names as headliners, like deadmau5, Kaskade, Above & Beyond and Steve Angello. There are a few interesting selections, like Azealia Banks, on the main stage Saturday, Rae Sremmurd Friday and Kristain Nairn taking his Rave of Thrones act to the festival main stage.

The festival will feature three stages per day, with each themed differently and hosting a distinct style of music.

The Oasis stage will serve as the main stage with additional performances from the likes of Die Antwoord, who are a popular pick as a live act at EDM-leaning festivals, having already played up gigs at Future Music Festival and Ultra Music Festival in 2015. Also included on the main stage will be Flosstadamus, local producers, Paris & Simo and Toronto native Grandtheft.

The Neon stage will host an "underground" sound Friday, including Green Velvet and Claude vonStroke's collaboration Get Real, tropical house newcomer Matoma, SNBRN and Lane 8, while Saturday will be a bit heavier with the inclusion of Snails, Savant and Mat Zo.

The third stage is themed and curated by a specific DJ. DJ Snake's Pardon My French brand fittingly brings an all-French cast of DJs to his stage with Tchami, Busy P, Mercer and others. The second day will be curated by Canadian big-room heros DVBBS, though their acts are yet to be announced. Just look at their recent collaborations and joint shows and you should get a hint at who may come.

The event will take place at Parc Jean Drapeau, where two weekends before the massive Osheaga Festival will occur, which will feature the likes of Alt-J, Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys and Florence + The Machine.
