The world had better get ready for some more tender-hearted country music from Jason Isbell, because the critically acclaimed crooner will be releasing a new album this summer. Following the success of his 2013 solo album Southeastern, today (April 16), Isbell announced that he will be dropping his fifth studio album Something More Than Free this July.
Something More Than Free will be released July 17, Radio.com reports. The new album found Isbell reteaming with his Southeastern producer David Cobb and recording down in Nashville.
Concrete details surrounding the new album remain mum, but Isbell did unveil the album cover.
He's also on the road with an extensive tour, which runs now through the end of October, when Isbell will cap it all off with a four-night run at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
