Tyler, The Creator Drops Bonus Track "Yellow," Featuring Kali Uchis On Physical 'Cherry Bomb' Album Release [LISTEN]

Tyler, The Creator dropped his new album Cherry Bomb earlier this week as a digital-only release, but now it's available for purchase on CD format. With the physical edition comes one bonus track called "Yellow," which features Colombian singer Kali Uchis.

"Now when I first saw you / I could tell you were the one," Tyler appears to sing over hazy electric guitar and clacky percussion. "That I was searching for / I needed something that was like the sun / Now all my flowers grow right now my life it blooms, baby / You're my favorite color, favorite color, my favorite color's yellow... Cause you're my yellow, ohh."

After dropping his album, which we reviewed on Music Times, he took to Twitter to detail the origins of his collaborations and his songwriting process. In a long series of all caps tweets, Tyler delved into personal details about of his life as he was writing the album and some of the collaborations that did not come to be. Apparently he was looking to work with Stevie Wonder on "Find Your Wings", but that didn't end up happening. He also warned fans he will be spamming out his album all week on social media.

He later stopped by PBS for an interview with Tavis Smiley to talk about his school years, working with Roy Ayers, idolizing Pharrell Williams, being inspired by Pleasantville and Dead Poet Society, and more.

If you want to pick up the physical album, which has five different cover designs, head over to Amazon. Otherwise you can stream it now.
