Swedish producer DJ duo Galantis, comprised of Christian Karlsson and Linus Elköw, have unveiled the details for the upcoming debut artist album Pharmacy and to usher it in, released the new single "Peanut Butter Jelly." The pair ditches their anthemic melodies for a more retro feel with disco synths and funky bass line. Galantis make their own with random airhorns and some nonsensical vocals "spread it like peanut butter jelly/do it like I owe you some money." Stream "Peanut Butter Jelly" now on YouTube below.
Pharmacy will be released on June 8 via Atlantic/Big Beat Records and it available for pre-order now on iTunes.
The 13-track LP will be the most extensive work we have seen from Galantis as a duo thus far. They released their self-titled EP in April 2014 that spawned hits like "You" and "Smile." This new album has several previously heard tracks including "You," their single "Runaway (U & I)," which is still getting played by other DJs, the December single "Gold Dust" and the aforementioned "Peanut Butter Jelly."
The album appears to be devoid of collaborations as they do their own vocals and put a lot of FX on them, though there are a few in the pipeline with Kaskade and Dillon Francis that might have made the cut for this LP.
