Charli XCX and Bleachers have announced a three-week tour for the summer, titled "Charli and Jack Do America" (with "Jack" referencing the latter's frontman, Jack Antonoff). The vocalist mentioned his platonic adoration for the British pop star (from Billboard).
"I love Charli," he said. "I love what she does with pop music, how she makes it bizarre. The two of us do totally different things but occupy a similar space--that's what I loved about the idea to tour together. It makes sense in the fact that it doesn't make sense."
Charli released a similarly-themed statement on her tour buddy.
"I love Jack. I love what he does with pop music, how he makes every song feel like a movie," she said. "This tour is gonna be cool and weird and fabulous and I really can't wait."
Singer-songwriter BØRNS will open. The highlight of the tour announcement has to be the poster however: It features a green George Washington wearing sunglasses, which is always okay by us.
