Love & Hip Hop Atlanta might be one of those shows that not everyone admits to watching, but make no mistake, people are tuning in. The latest season premiered last Monday and the ratings were absolutely insane, with more than 6 million viewers watching the antics of Stevie J, Mimi Faust and the rest of the crew. Missing from the episode was Stevie's wife, Joseline Hernandez, who was suspended from the show after an on-air beat down with Althea Heart at the most recent reunion show. If Stevie's recent rumblings are to be believed, then he also might be leaving the show.
Apparently Stevie believes that he is at the root of L&HHATL's success and therefore deserves more money. On Friday he tipped his hand and said that he is in the middle of a contract dispute and threatened to leave the show. Then, just this morning he posted on Twitter saying, "I've made others happy for the last 3 years but now I'm hitting the reset button. Goodbye ATL." Do you think that Stevie and his drama with Hernandez and baby mama Faust really is a big part of what has made this VH1 staple so successful?
Do you think that Stevie really does have one foot out the door on L&HHATL or is he just posting these things to get a little more attention? Would the producers really allow Stevie to get away while smack in the middle of filming the current season? Do you think that Hernandez would leave the show as well? Or is she more likely to keep grabbing that easy cash?
If Stevie really is out at L&HHATL will you continue watching? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
