Drop everything! The Artists Den has just announced its next secret show: the soulful, indie pop band Fitz and The Tantrums. The show is Wednesday, February 5th in Los Angeles, and you can enter to win tickets here on the Artists Den website. The venue will be announced to the winners and concertgoers.
When Fitz and The Tantrums' broke out in the summer of 2010, their first studio album Pickin' Up the Pieces shot to the top of Billboard's Heatseekers chart. The LA-band that formed in 2008 then hit up late-night shows playing "MoneyGrabber" and touring abroad. The hit had that signature 70s flare, which really became red-hot this past 2013. It's not a 70s tribute band per se, but more "neo soul, indie pop." They're also a friend to Billboard's Alternative charts.
The large band's name is a nod to lead singer, Michael Fitzpatrick, who plays keyboard. Noelle Scaggs also sings and does percussion. James King adds to the percussion along with saxophone, flute, keyboard and guitar. Joseph Karnes is the bass guitarist, Jeremy Ruzumna on keyboards, and finally, John Wicks on drums and percussion.
Should be quite the show! Their new album More Than Just a Dream is out now. Follow them here on twitter and check out more tour dates if you can't catch them at the secret show in Los Angeles.
Good luck, and we'll keep you in the loop about the live show!
