Mariah Carey knows how to make an entrance. In celebration of her new residency in Las Vegas, the "Infinity" singer made a grand entrance at Caesars Palace yesterday, April 27.
According to Idolator, Carey arrived in a pink vintage convertible sporting a glittery long dress. At her press conference, she played her new single "Infinity" as she thanked her fans and supporters.
"Thank you everybody for coming here today to experience this moment," Carey told the crowd. "I will never forget it for as long as I live. There's a new girl in town. You'll be seeing me walking around."
Caesars Palace will be a new home for the singer. She has an 18-show residency that will begin May 6 and conclude July 26. The show called, Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity, will feature some of Carey's performances of her popular hits like "Vision of Love," "Dreamlover," "Emotions," "One Sweet Day," "Don't Forget About Us" and "Fantasy,"
In an interview with E! News, Carey dished on the rehearsal process for her new Vegas show that incorporates her top tracks throughout the years.
"The rehearsals have been going really well," Carey said. "It's been mainly for me about the music and about how to incorporate the songs. Just because they were all number one records doesn't mean they all make an easy set list...a lot of ballads and up tempos. So it's difficult to make it work seamlessly."
As for her and Nick Cannon's twins, Monroe and Moroccan, Carey explained that her babies are "...always with me." Carey shared why family is most important to her.
"...They're with me or they're with their father," Carey explained. "It is what it is and I would never just be like, 'I'm going, you're not going to be with me.' They wouldn't understand that..."
