The 56th Annual Grammy Awards hosted by LL Cool J will air live from the Los Angeles Staples Center this Sunday (January 26) at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. We've examined the biggest categories and have put in our two cents on who we think should win and who we think will win each award. Vote for your pick in the poll at the bottom of the page.
Category: Album of the Year

The Blessed Unrest - Sara Bareilles
Random Access Memories - Daft Punk
Good Kid, M.A.A.D City - Kendrick Lamar
The Heist - Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Red - Taylor Swift
Who Should Win: Good Kid, M.A.A.D City - Kendrick Lamar
Rap and hip-hop stepped up last year and made a huge impression. For Kendrick Lamar, it has been a labor of love, and he's even getting endorsements from fellow nominees. Macklemore told The Source that he thinks Lamar should win the category for Best Rap Album, but he also said, "I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album." It can be assumed that Macklemore thinks he and Lewis should take the Album of the Year, but we'll see.
Who Will Win: Red - Taylor Swift
With her fourth studio album, Taylor Swift continued her streak of success both in the pop and country genres. "We Are Never Getting Back Together" hit number one on the Billboard 100. Red also made it to the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 2012. Swift is undoubtedly talented when it comes to songwriting, and chances are she'll be given the honor once again. It's clear at this point that the singer is a magnet for awards. Hopefully this time it's without another Kanye intervention.
