Chance the Rapper, the self-proclaimed "#1 fan" of Kanye West finally teamed up with his idol in the studio after initially meeting him for the first time at Jay Z's Made in America Festival last September. Chance posted a blurry photo of him and Yeezy on Instagram with a poetic caption.
"When I dream of Heaven I don't see sharp edges," he wrote, possibly explaining the haziness of the picture.
It is unclear what exactly the two Chicago natives are cooking up, but it could possibly be new material for West's upcoming follow-up to Yeezus, So Help Me God, or part of Chance's Social Experiment project Surf -- both of which are due out this year.
West has already played a role in Chance's music before. On his mixtape Acid Rap, he paid homage to the original title for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy --Good Ass Job -- and sampled West's song "Intro (I'm Good)" for his song "Good Ass Intro." Now our fingers are crossed that the two end up on an original track together.
When Chance first met the elder Chicago rapper last year, he posted about how big of a deal it was to him on Instagram.
"Anyone who knows me knows how big of a moment this was for me," he captioned a photo of their meeting. "I've been his biggest fan since 04 and I'm pretty sure I'm still his #1 fan. Thanks to J for hookin it up. Thanks to Gizmo for all the good luck yesterday. #IMetKanye."
