Chris Brown May Face Battery Charges After Alleged Late Night Basketball Brawl

For all of his talents, Chris Brown just can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. His latest run-in with the law names him as a suspect in a brawl during a late night basketball game on Sunday night in Las Vegas. Sin City was filled with celebrities all there to attend the "fight of the century" between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather and the subsequent afterparties and according to police, Breezy was playing hoops at 3:42 a.m. when at some point he got into an argument with one of the men and allegedly punched him. The game was played in the famous Hardwood Suite, where Brown was staying according to TMZ.

Police say Brown as two options — either sign a citation for misdemeanor battery and agree to show up in court or take his chance with the District Attorney who still has to decide whether or not to file charges.

Brown's publicist, Nicole Perna, denied his involvement in the altercation.

"Chris is currently in Las Vegas as he is performing at Drai's on May 5th and receiving a Key to the Strip that day as well," Perna said in a statement via CNN. "He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises. Chris was not in an altercation with this person."

In his defense (which can be hard) with his reputation and his wealth, he makes for an easy target. But Breezy should know that by now and has to get things under control before he goes to jail for a long time and wastes away the best years of his life.

Brown's past incidents with the law have been very well documented. He just got off of probation in March for his 2009 Rihanna assault case and does not want to revisit that again.
