Hollywood had better watch out because Taylor Swift is coming for all of the biggest stars and it's going to be a "Catastrophe." After announcing that her latest 1989 single will be "Bad Blood," today (May 7), the pop superstar announced that the song's music video will debut on Sunday, May 17, during the Billboard Music Awards 2015.
Swift debuted a teaser poster for the "Bad Blood" music video on her Instagram, revealing that she will be playing the villainous pop star in the clip as "Catastrophe."
Nodding to the single's lyrics, the poster also features the tagline "Band Aids Don't Fix Bullet Holes."
Sounds ominous!
The music video for "Bad Blood" is set to feature a cast filled with Swift's famous friends, or as USA Today phrases it "Golden Globe winners, Emmy winners, Grammy winners, an Oscar nominee and all sorts of other blockbuster celebrities." When Swift was shooting the music video last month, People reported that Cara Delevingne, Zendaya and Paramore's Hayley Williams were all spotted with the pop star on set, who was sporting quite the cat's eye makeup.
The clip is also set to be directed by Joseph Kahn, who previously worked with Swift on the cinematic music video for 1989 single "Blank Space."
"Bad Blood" will be the fourth official single from Swift's October 2014 album 1989. It follows the release and promotion of "Shake It Off," "Blank Space" and "Style." The single is about a "straight-up enemy" of Swift's in the pop music world, which is pretty obviously Katy Perry.
