Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson Claim Self Defense, Thank Fans After Twitter Spat

Yesterday (May 6), the break in One Direction got ugly when Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson fired shots at each other (and Malik's friend/producer Naughty Boy) on Twitter. Tomlinson called "Zaughty Boy" a bunch of 12-year-olds and Malik told his former bandmate to get a life. After the small spat (which remarkably is still up on their Twitter pages), the boys logged back on to social media to defend themselves and their fans.

Malik was the first to get online and explain himself, saying he was only defending himself and his life after Tomlinson's repeated digs at his post-1D career and Naughty Boy.

But, of course, Malik doesn't have the lone hold on loving his fans - the boys who still remain in One Direction do it even better.

After the hashtags #TOMLINSONSLAYSAGAIN and #IstighfarZayn got trending on social media with Directions supporting Tomlinson and 1D en masse, the remaining boy band member thanked One Direction fans for all their support and for being a "different class." (Just to get that last bit of shade in there.)

Something tells us this little exchange of words won't be the last we hear from Tomlinson, who previously admitted that he has a hard time "biting his tongue" in the wake of Malik quitting One Direction earlier this year to take time to be a "normal 22-year-old."
