Over the weekend, A$AP Rocky shared the cover art for his upcoming new album At.Long.Last.A$AP or A.L.L.A., which featured a trippy, distorted image of the late A$AP Yams' face, distinguishable by his birthmark and cross tattoo as a memorial for his fallen friend. However, it appears that cover isn't the only one. Late last night, the rapper posted to Instagram another black-and-white cover image, which features his face with Yams' birthmark in purple over it.
At.Long.Last.A$AP is scheduled to drop June 2. Last week, Rocky shared a new song titled "Everyday" during his Red Bull Academy lecture in New York. The song features vocals from Miguel, production from Mark Ronson and samples Rod Stewart's "In A Broken Dream."
Rocky dropped his single "M's" last month with new material slowly surfacing from the Harlem rapper over the past few months. He unveiled the music video for his single "Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2" earlier in the year and dropped "Multiply" late last year. Another track titled "The Beauty and the Beast," which he teased during his CRWN interview last month, will likely be the next to surface.
The album was recorded at both Red Bull Studios in London and at Sound Factory in Los Angeles. The full LP will feature the likes of Lykke Li, FKA Twigs, Pimp C, Juicy J, Clams Casino and potentially others. A$AP Yams, who died of an accidental drug overdose, will be listed as an executive producer on the album alongside Danger Mouse and Juicy J.
In an interview with Billboard, Rocky discussed the diversity of the album, saying, "People really don't know the other side of me. The deeper side, the more musical side, the more intellectual side. When I first came on the scene it was more of this trendy, bourgeois, pizazz attitude. That's still me but at the end of the day I think that kind of overshadowed the whole purpose of me doing what I do. I'm an incredibly diverse artist, I'm a universal artist. At least that's how I see it."
