Miley Cyrus stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and offered a solution for Justin Bieber's recent legal troubles, talked about her bad driving habits, her unplugged performance with Madonna, why she sticks her tongue out, how she prepares for touring and her first "boyfriend."
Leno asked her what advice she would give Bieber, and she replied, "You've got a lot of money. Pay people to make sure you don't get into trouble and party at your house. Buy a house, and add a club to it."
Then Leno asked if she had any youthful mistakes she might regret. "You know its funny," she told him, "because today my fans put all these people's mug shots up, and they were like 'I don't see a Miley mug shot yet.' And look, I get the most flack out of anybody, but I'm not doing anything illegal. I'm doing a lot of sh*t, but I'm not doing anything illegal. So that's all right. Everything I do is legal in California."
He also brought up her recent unplugged performance with Madonna. She said they chose "Don't Tell Me" because it used to be Cyrus' go-to karaoke song and she "felt like 'Can't Stop' is kind of saying the same thing. It's a 2014 version of her."
She then explained why Madonna was a role model for her saying, "What she represents is freedom. I think she was really ahead of women in that way. We're women and we're going to be free and not afraid of sexuality and who we are and stand up for what we think is right. I think she definitely was an inspiration for me of not being afraid. It was nice to share the stage with someone I knew I could get away with a lot. She wasn't scared of me."
Leno also dug up 20-year-old footage of Cyrus' first television appearance when she was two years old and made her way onto the set of a talk show where her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was being interviewed. She was clearly an entertainer even back then. Plus the doll in her stroller was a freaking Willie Nelson doll, (a.k.a. her first boyfriend).
