Kanye West won't be charged in alleged Beverly Hills attack following civil settlement

Kanye West will not face criminal charges over the alleged attack on a man in at a Beverly Hills medical center last month. According to the Associated Press, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office dismissed the battery case following West's civil settlement with the man who accused West of punching him and considering no serious injuries were documented in the case.

As previously reported, West had allegedly punched the 18-year-old man for yelling racist epithets at Kim Kardashian after photographers at a Beverly Hills medical building swarmed around her. The man had reportedly tried to help her get through the crowed and said to her, "F**k these fa**ot-ass n***rs," referring to the paparazzi. She reportedly told him not to use the N-word, and he screamed at her, "F**k you, b*tch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n***r lover, stupid sl*t." West allegedly attached attacked him in a chiropractor's office shortly after.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the DA's office said that West "punched the person an unknown number of times." A police report was filed but the alleged victims attorney declined to seek criminal prosecution stating that a civil compromise had been reach with the rapper.

"Further inquiry by this office resulted in the victim, through his attorney, declining to speak with a member of the district attorney's office," authorities told the Times. "Prosecution is accordingly declined due to victim unavailability."

West settled the case with a $250,000 payout.
