The 2015 Billboard Music Awards had a lot of hype surrounding them... from the first award show appearance of One Direction post-Zayn Malik to performances from Mariah Carey, Wiz Khalifa and more. But the most talked about gig before it even happened? The live world debut of Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea's new single "Pretty Girls."
The BBMAs went across the Las Vegas strip to Spears' current residency home at the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood for the "Pretty Girls" performance, promoting Spears' show in conjunction with the new single.
Playing off the recently released music video, which injected '80s colors with out-of-this-world effects via an alien Azalea, Spears and the "Fancy" rapper were beamed onto the stage, wearing sparkling skimpy outfits to tantalize every viewer.
The performance itself, well, let's just say that Spears isn't really known for her live vocal performances during Piece Of Me, and she brought that same lip sync love to the TV, dragging Azalea's reputation down with her.
Despite the less-than-live vocals, Spears actually looked like she was having fun and was alive on the stage, giving sassy and silly looks to the camera and jamming out with the backup dancers and Azalea.
It's too much to ask for it all, so we'll take what we got from this.
