After other dup performances like Chris Brown and Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa and Fall Out Boy and Faith Hill and Little Big Town, the BBMAs 2015 did not hold back two of the biggest pop stars in the world performing their hit single "Hey Mama." Fifth Harmony introduced Nicki Minaj and David Guetta as Nicki came out to perform one track on her own, before heading out to a different section of the stage to join the French DJ.
Nicki Minaj opened up the performance with a bit of her Pinkprint track, "The Night Is Still Young." Interestingly, she chose to have an all asian theme for the short performance with Asian dancers and a backdrop on an Asian cities filled with big lights and towering skyscrapers.
She then head over to the right to join Mr. Guetta to perform their hit single "Hey Mama" featuring Afrojack on production.
Guetta stood on his elevated platform with his equipment pretending to fiddle with his CDJs, while clapping his hands to the beat. Afrojack, the man who handled most of the production was nowhere to be seen, but for a show like this, having two DJs on a platform would have been more comical than it already is having a DJ press play on one track.
"Hey Mama" originally didn't do that well, but it eclipsed gold status in the United States a few days ago and has crept up the charts into the top 5. Watch the performance below.
