If you haven't seen J.K. Simmons' Oscar-winning performance in Damien Chazelle's Whiplash then perhaps Keegan-Michael Key can demonstrate for you. Or, that is, he can parody it exactly as one-half of the famous Key & Peele would, accompanied by a badass song as well.
Perhaps the A.V. Club put it into context best"
"Having Keegan-Michael Key portray J.K. Simmons' sadistic music teacher from Whiplash is an obvious choice, and not just because of their respective follicle counts. Key also excels at playing slightly unhinged loudmouths, and that's just what he does in Bhi Bhiman's new video for the song 'Moving To Brussels.'"
Indeed, Mr. Key has the uncanny ability to move himself in such a way resembling Simmons that the portrayal is mighty accurate, but the meticulousness--and, maybe, sheer idiocy--to detail is a spot on performance. "Play all the woodwinds from the middle of the tragedy after Luke Skywalker's aunt and uncle have been killed on Tattoine."
Yes, it's that ridiculous in the movie, too.
