Althea Eaton recently told her Twitter followers not to feel bad because she and her man, Benzino, aren't appearing on the current season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and now we know why. It's certainly not because, after being pummeled onstage by Joseline Hernandez during the last reunion show, Eaton decided that she has had enough of reality television. Instead the reason for her comfort is because another network is lining her pocket and she and Benzino will be back on the air soon via Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.
According to a report by TMZ, "Althea Eaton and Benzino's non-stop drama cost them their Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta gigs — but it also helped them score $200k to appear on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. Sources close to the show tell TMZ that the powder keg lovebirds will work through their issues and see if they are truly ready for marriage in Season 4 — and they'll rake in a sweet payday while they do it," explains an insider.
Fans of the couple were outraged last fall when Benzino confirmed that they had been fired from the L&HH franchise after being victimized by Hernandez. Many felt that it was the violent Hernandez and her drugged up man, Stevie J that should have been cut. Instead the network suspended Hernandez for a few episodes and supported Stevie's trip to rehab while kicking Eaton and Benzino to the curb.
Truth be told, Benzino and Eaton always seemed like one of the more stable couples on L&HH and they have been engaged for a while. Perhaps getting some counseling now to work out some of their issues ahead of time actually isn't a bad idea.
