We've frequently commented on the Hakkasan nightclub's most stacked of residential lineups for 2014, and how it's the envy of electronic dance venues in Las Vegas, and in doing so, we may have failed to give attention to the other clubs held within the MGM Grand complex. The casino resort's Wet Republic is set to reopen during late March after some remodeling during the off-season, and it plans to open the venue with a slew of big name DJ's.
The official "Grand Opening" weekend will be April 5 and 6, but fans will be able to soak in the sun at the "ultra pool" with musical accompaniment March 29 and 30 as well. The Saturday party will include Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, and Sunday will host W&W.
The Grand Opening weekend is where the lineups start getting really impressive. Dada Life and Calvin Harris will play the respective days that weekend. Dada Life will return for Saturday, April 12 and Steve Aoki will play the Sunday slot. April 19 and 20 takes the cake, with Harris playing Saturday night and Tiësto handling Sunday. It helps that many of these acts have already signed on for residencies at Hakkasan during 2014.
On Friday, April 25, the club will host the SpyonVegas Hot 100 Launch Party. It's been brought to our attention that this Hot 100 is much, much different than the Billboard Hot 100.
These are all ticketed events, so don't expect to get in unless you buy tickets now. The MGM Grand website also reminds us to remind you that all events require a dress code of "fashionable swim attire." Your guess is as good as ours.
